HEALTH & WELLNESS

The J100’s health and wellness goals are to raise awareness, provide access to health care and health information that will ultimately promote behavior change resulting in a healthier lifestyle.

EDUCATION & SCHOLARSHIP

The J100 have supported students in their education endeavors through sponsoring Scholarships, College Fairs and Workshops.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

The J100 defines economic empowerment as the ability to be self-determined in creating dreams, pursing them and ultimately perpetuating them.

OUR HISTORY

The first chapter of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. was founded in 1963. The organization was initially a loose association of nine independent groups located in different metropolitan areas. Successful businessmen from a variety of social, educational, and economic sectors came together for a common purpose – to make a difference in the lives of African American youth and their communities. In 1986, these groups joined forces to create a national non-profit federation now known as 100 Black Men of America, Inc.

Since its founding, the “100” has grown to 106 Chapters with approximately 10,000 African American men committed to the organization’s founding mission- to enhance the quality of life in African American communities by improving the educational, economic and social status of African-Americans. The organization now serves more than 125,000 youth annually through its mentoring, training and development programs.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others?” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I am honored to serve as President of this great organization of dedicated men. Through actions greater than my own, the 100 Black Men of Jacksonville, Inc. remain firmly committed to improving the quality of life for families in the First Coast Area.

We are a dedicated group of African American men from various professional backgrounds who are established leaders in various fields including business, government, education, medicine, law, finance, technology, sales, marketing, real estate

In addition, we will continue to help youth in our community through established mentoring and education programs. We will assist them to achieve success academically and through personal development. We will empower children throughout Duval County to excel and become examples in the community through leadership programs and one-on-one mentoring opportunities.
